First unveiling of eggshell membrane fiber ovoveil products at elite Japan fashion show, which produces the world’s top models

Clothing made with “ovoveil” was unveiled as a runway show at the elite Japan launch party and fashion show (sponsored by elite Japan Co., Ltd.) held on September 5th.

elite Japan (CEO Miya Kuroda) was established on January 11, 2024 as the Japanese subsidiary of elite world, which has more than 30 offices on five continents and has produced many of the world’s top models. This time, the establishment announcement party was held, and Pharma Foods exhibited as a textile brand. At this show, we produced innerwear, nightwear, loungewear, etc. that make the most of ovoveil®’s gentle and smooth texture, and exhibited 10 looks for men and women.

About eggshell membrane fiber ovoveil®

About 2.6 million tons of eggs are consumed annually in Japan, and about 10,000 tons of eggshell membrane is discarded as a by-product as unused biomass. We have built a supply chain to collect eggshell membrane in large quantities and hygienically, and developed ovoveil®, a regenerated cellulose fiber containing 10% eggshell membrane. ovoveil® is a fiber that has a silky smooth texture and is gentle on the skin and the environment. On September 4, 2024, we received the Excellence Award at the 7th EcoPro Awards.
